Chris Barker
News Article
It is with deep sadness, we have been advised that Chris Barker passed away at the end of last week.
As some may know, Chris had terminal cancer, which he had bravely fought for over 2 years, never complaining and always stoically and with good humour. He worked with us until the end, (and even through lockdown, when he joined our team meetings, always had something relevant and of value to contribute).
Chris joined pfbb UK in 2009 and through our pfbb contracts, acted as BID Project Manager for Brackmills BID for over 10 years. On top of this, he also worked consecutively as Northampton BID Manager for 3 years, turning the BID around and taking it through a successful renewal. He then relocated to Derby to support on St Peters Quarter BID for a few months.
Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
At this time of year, we are also remembering Ian Hinds who was also taken by cancer 2 years ago, and Emily Teague and baby Isabelle so cruelly taken. As people we work alongside every day, colleagues become friends and extended family and we all feel their loss. Thank you to those who are not with us, and thank you to our existing colleagues both within and outside our team.
