Strong results for BID Ballots from pfbb managed BIDs

pfbb UK are pleased to have secured successful and strong results for two renewal BID Ballots in Northampton and Newcastle-under-Lyme and a new BID Development Ballot at Stakehill Industrial Estate.

Northampton and Newcastle-under-Lyme BIDs had started their renewal process at the end of 2019 with a view of originally going to ballot in the autumn of last year. However, as a result of the passing of the Coronavirus Bill in March last year both these BIDs were permitted to extend their life up to March 2021 giving more time for businesses to be consulted and review the business priorities as a result of the pandemic.

The strong results of the BID Ballots reflect the great work the BIDs do and the recognition by businesses that they benefit from working collectively to shape the future of the places where they operate and trade”

Stakehill Industrial Estate BID in Greater Manchester also received the personal support of Mayor Andy Burnham and the leader of Rochdale Borough Council Cllr Allen Brett. The development was entirely funded by UBS, landlord of a significant number of the units in the estate, and driven by a steering group made up of a cross section of businesses from across the estate.

The pfbb UK BID Development Team lead by Ian Ferguson, their Strategic and Development Director, worked very closely with the BID Managers and their teams in Northampton and Newcastle-under-Lyme and the Steering Group in Stakehill throughout the BID. Ian said, ‘A big thank you goes to all those businesses who played a part in bringing together these new and exciting BID proposals and business plans. These plans provide an opportunity for all businesses to address the challenges and uncertainties together and enable businesses to play a key role in shaping the future of their towns and industrial estate”.
