A sad passing of a dear colleague – Ian Hinds
News Article
pfbb UK has lost a friend, colleague and valued member of its team, Ian Hinds, through a very sudden deterioration of cancer, having been in work only a week before being diagnosed and dying only one week after that.
Ian joined pfbb UK as a BID Manager eight years ago and was a key part of the team which developed the St Peters Quarter BID in Derby which he then managed into its second term. Ian really enjoyed his work to help and support businesses in this part of Derby which he did with passion and a love for the city in which he was born.
Ian had an inherent quality of engendering a feeling of warmth and friendship with everyone he worked with and since his passing the term ‘a real gentleman’ is one which has been used by many to describe their warm feelings and respect for him. Indeed we have had many, many people from businesses and others he worked with in the Police and local authorities write in with heart felt words which have been of great support and comfort to his family.
Ian will always be remembered with great affection in pfbb UK for his desire to help others and always see the best in people, a great sense of humour and as a real gentleman.
