BID Managers on board for Gatwick

A DERBY business improvement and project management firm has won a number of high-profile contracts that will expand its reach across the country.

Partnerships for Better Business, a Marketing Derby Bondholder, has been appointed to develop a Business Improvement District framework for the Major Royal Business District at Gatwick, the largest estate in the South East with more than 500 firms employing around 30,000 people, including Virgin and Boeing.

The business, led by directors Ian Ferguson, Chris Hollins and Melanie Ferguson-Allen, is also carrying out feasibility studies for a Business Improvement District to be created in Stratford, London.

The business is also involved in projects for Sheffield City Centre and Letchworth and Hitchin, both in Hertfordshire.

Locally, work includes project management of the Cathedral Quarter and St Peter’s Quarter business improvement districts.

Mr Ferguson said: “2013 promises to be a very busy year with the development of new business and the ongoing project management of both the BIDs in Derby and our other major project management contract at the 700 acre Brackmills Industrial Estate in Northampton, which is the largest BID of its kind in the UK.

“Our experience in the day-to-day delivery of BID projects across different locations provides a unique insight into the challenges a business community faces.”
